What does Disability Insurance not cover?
Here are two important things to know about what Century+ disability insurance (From Assurity) does not cover:
Pregnancy & Childbirth
- Routine pregnancy/childbirth is excluded from disability benefits under this policy.
- Only medical complications of pregnancy that meet the policy’s disability definition may be considered for benefits.
Pre-Existing Conditions
- If you become disabled within the first two years after your coverage begins due to a health condition that existed before the policy started, the plan typically won’t pay benefits for that condition unless it was clearly disclosed when you applied and it was not excluded.
